Hoda Baroudi and Maria Hibri’s passion for the old textiles, tapestries and handicrafts is what drove them to establish Bokja, a store that repurposes furniture from the 50s, 60s and 70s, discovered in Beirut’s flea-markets and antique dealerships. Each item of furniture is unique with an instinctive process of creation. Bokja's designs always include a combination of traditional and modern elements showcasing the bold colors and artistic spirit inherent in vintage hand-woven textiles and embroideries, while at the same time reinventing these materials to bring them in tune with contemporary design.
